Pull out your diary mama and mark this one down…The Affordable Art Fair. Returning to the Lion City from 21 to 24 November 2013 this fair is a must for anyone interested in purchasing art at super reasonable prices!

Founded in London in 1999, the Affordable Art Fair has become a permanent fixture on the global art scene, making contemporary art fun and accessible to everyone. Every piece of art at the Affordable Art Fair is priced between $100 and $10,000 (with 75% of the pieces under $7,500 – they even have a fab under $1000 wall!) and with prices clearly marked on all pieces, the fair makes it easy to find objects within your budget – they even let you bring your art home on the same day!

In addition to perusing the many art pieces on display, there are talks, workshops and even children’s activities to enjoy – at The Children’s Art Studio kids can get busy creating their own masterpiece while you get busy hunting for your own one. Run by Art Boot Camp, the studio is open to kids 4 to 12 years.

This really is a perfect weekend excursion with the kids. Last year we dragged our little ones along and had a fantastic time! The non-stuffy atmosphere, coupled with the sheer space of the gallery, meant we didn’t have to worry about the kids knocking anything over. It was easy to browse the colourful paintings, prints, sculptures and photography, and see works by well-known artists and aspiring young talents.
