Bill Gates once said, “Everyone needs a coach… We all need people that give us feedback. That’s how we improve.” Could coaching be what parents, partners, teens and kids need for a better, happier life?
Some of the world’s top people have used coaching to up their game: Steve Jobs (Apple), Oprah Winfrey, and Eric Schmidt (Google) have all turned to coaches to help them succeed. But coaching isn’t just for business tycoons and celebrities. If your family is looking for some friendly help in parenting, managing finances, improving health, or relationships, a coach could be the supercharge you need. Seeking a coach doesn’t mean anything needs to be wrong – it’s not therapy after all. Coaching is less about looking back and more about looking forward, making life better, learning how to recognise and achieve, grow and be happy. Think of it as getting a little help in navigating life’s ever-changing challenges – the big stuff maybe, but the small stuff too (before it turns into the big stuff).
A good coach can help you or your child identify areas to work on, give helpful advice, constructive feedback, and future-ready strategies. If you’re thinking, ‘sign me up, but where?’ We’re getting to that! Frolic for Life is a family coaching practice with expertise in kids, parents, life, health and money. Why families are loving Frolic for Life coaching:
Kids Life Coach: Andrea Liu
“Andrea has been such a blessing. My daughter changed schools and entered secondary school at the age of 12 – she lost her friends, she lost her confidence and she began losing direction. Halfway through 13, we found the beginnings of self-harm and self-loathe. Our greatest decision was to hire Andrea as our daughter’s Kids Life Coach rather than seek a Counsellor or a Psychologist. She gave my daughter a renewed focus, and important life tools to cope with her anxiety. But more importantly, she smiles and laughs a whole lot more”. Scott, father of a 13-year-old girl from the United States
Relationship Coach: Iwa Hensarling
“Iwa and I explored my anxiety around trust and honesty with my husband. I soon realised the core issue and after a few sessions I was able to find different and new ways of loving him and little by little build the trust that was missing for a long time”. Anonymous, mother of a 3-year-old girl from Singapore
Financial Wellness Coach: Michelle Howell
“Michelle’s passion and knowledge to empower by increasing financial literacy and independence gave me the peace of mind that she was the right person to help me make financial decisions about my future. I love Michelle’s approach as she is all about helping her clients make decisions that match their family’s goals and lifestyle. I cannot recommend her enough!” Janna, from Australia
