House on the Hill Montessori Preschool Open Week

Opened in 2012 by founders who had a shared vision for genuine and holistic early childhood education, House on the Hill Montessori is a family run school where thoughtful consideration has been put into every moment spent here. The schools are located in Mount Sophia, Balmoral and Pasir Panjang. Open Week allows parents the chance to go into the classrooms of House on the Hill while they’re in session. Observe the children in their element as they go through their Montessori 3-hour work cycles – and see the difference this makes on focus and learning.

Open Week Virtual Tours

Live class in action – a Montessori classroom is noticeably quieter than other kindergarten classes, a result of the correct application of Montessorian teaching principles.

All questions answered – a member of the House on the Hill team will be on hand to take you on a guided tour of the school and facilities, as well as answer any questions that you might have.

Lunch Time Chats

House on the Hill parent Paola Barcacel hosts two intimate sessions during Open Week. The first session on Monday 14 September will be with Ms. Marilyn Ow, Founding Principal and Principal of the Mount Sophia campus, about the Montessori Method and all the burning questions potential parents might have about it.

The second session on Friday, 18 September will tackle childhood nutrition questions with Ms. Jing Wu, Founder of House on the Hill and mother of two boys (who are in HotH right now). Hear directly from the person spearheading HotH’s well-known nutrition program, about how she implements good nutrition in the schools as well as at home.
