Crane Helper Appreciation Day @ NIDO

Post Category - Arts + CultureArts + Culture

Sunday 17 January, 12pm – 5pm

2020 is finally over, and we couldn’t have made it without our unsung heroes – our domestic helpers. Far away from their own families, they still took care of ours – our homes, our kids, our health and safety. Today we set aside time to give our helpers the big thank you they deserve at Crane!

12pm: Fashion Swap with Cloop

Trade in your clothes (in good condition please!) and let your helper go shopping! She gets a new wardrobe, and you get to declutter, and you both do it in an eco-friendly way – what more can we want? Bargain shopping is available all day (registration not required) – open to all helpers!

Jewellery Workshop ($2-$5): A drop-in workshop to create your own easy to make jewellery! Learn a new skill and get creative. By Boheme Style Nomads

Nilu Tea Tasting: Nilu is a former domestic helper who founded her very own sustainable tea company. Find out more about how she did it, and taste her teas in this enlightening session!

Make Your Own Dumplings with Commune Kitchen: with Payal of Commune Kitchen. Roll, fill and fold your own dumplings! Free to enter, limited spaces.

HOME booth: Need support and resources while you’re far away from home? The Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics takes care of all foreign workers and helpers in Singapore. Drop by their booth for advice!

F&B: Lunch is provided by Manna Pot Catering! Free bento boxes will be distributed from 12pm onwards for all registered domestic helpers attending the event!
