Those culinary peeps at 1-Group, who brought us 1-Altitude and Una, have now launched a Greek restaurant, Zorba, The Greek Taverna. It’s perched on the waterfront of Clarke Quay, and backed by lounge bar Yin with its alfresco music. If dining in a group, plump for the Dips Platter ($28) so you can try a scoop of five different dips of tzatziki, hummus, spicy sheep feta tirokafteri, roasted eggplant dip and taramasalata, served with warm pitta bread. Then there’s the humungous meatfest, the Greek’s Mixed Grill Platter ($88) to share cheese-stuffed bifteki, pork gyros, chicken and beef souvlaki, lamb chops, fried potatoes, salad, and tzatziki. For something lighter, there’s plenty of seafood, like pan-fried Mediterranean sea bass or grilled Mediterranean sea bream drizzled with lemon, garlic and olive oil $32 each. End with the huge slab of Baklava ($12) of sweet flaky filo pastry oozing with honey.
