In the mood for some good Christmas music, mama? Be entertained by this ridiculously talented 7-year-old!
The holiday season is in full swing, so we figure it’s high time for some good old-fashioned Christmas Music! Rather than just link to any old YouTube playlist, we thought we’d share a performance by amazingly talented 7-year-old Astrid Virk, who lives right here in Singapore! Astrid has been taking piano lessons at Aureus Academy for almost two years, and tells us she practices for 30 minutes a day. She’ll also be attending some of their upcoming Winter Music camps (on every day this week and next week, mama) – here’s a taste of the topnotch talent Aureus turns out:
Each Winter Music Camp session runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm, culminating in a one-hour public concert at the end of the day to showcase everyone’s talents (Exhibit A: see above). Even if your child isn’t a piano prodigy but just loves belting out showtunes, kiddos age 4 and up can actually choose from up to 5 activities per day, including “Animated Musicals”, “Instrument-a-Day”, “Young Conductors in Action” and much more! There are still a few slots available on the 16th, 17th and 18th, so register here today!
Everything’s taught by Aureus’s fabulously qualified teachers, who hold 31 Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees among them. And it all goes down at their state-of-the-art studio and 70-seat recital hall at Forum the Shopping Mall (conveniently located right on Orchard Road). Kiddos can attend up to 3 days’ of camps, but they don’t have to be in succession.
There are just 10 shopping days left until Christmas, mama — get yourself some free time and sign munchkin up for Winter Music Camp today! (And for those of you who can’t make the Winter Music Camps, Aureus Academy offers free trial lessons to see if your young one is ready to begin their musical journey — sounds like a great gift to put under the tree!)
