Style alert: Chic new nursing wear from Keungzai

‘Nursing’ and ‘chic’ are two words you don’t often hear in the same sentence. Style during and post pregnancy can be difficult (some would say impossible) to achieve but thankfully there are cool brands like Keungzai, the maternity-friendly (but not maternity only) clothing range stepping up to help us take on the challenge of staying stylish even during those tricky post-partum, nursing times…

Keungzai is already quite well-known for their contemporary and stylish take on maternity wear  — they have a sizeable following of celeb fans including Sienna Miller, and if it’s good enough for Sienna, we think it’s good enough for us! Their new collection is particularly focused on nursing wear, so think easy ways to get your boobs out, figure-skimming fabrics and minimal fuss styles.

Without further ado, here are some of our fave picks from their nursing collection that we think are perfect for Singapore mamas…

We love the effortlessly chic Luxe Cowl Neck Layered Dress($382), which features a subtle cowl neck, delicate sleeves and a stunning shape. The amazing colour is perfectly on trend for Autumn and is totally work-appropriate!

The gorgeous ultra soft drape side dress ($175) features their signature drape detail for subtle breastfeeding access. We would wear this dress loose without the removable belt but think it looks equally fabulous cinched in at the waist for a sophisticated, fitted look.

This fashionable and fitted Wrap Front Dress ($403) comes in a luxurious and soft dove grey jersey, and has stunning long sleeves and again, discreet nursing access. We think it’s the perfect dress to transition from the office to dinner!

For a slightly more casual look, the uber-stylish twisted neck 2-in-1 dress ($362) is made in a soft and luscious micro-modal jersey and features a twisted neck detail top for easy-peasy boobs out. A perfect dress for day to evening!

Lastly, if you’re not so much a dress gal, Keungzai do stock nursing tops as well which once you’re back in your skinny jeans you can rock for extended nursing style. We love how this Peaks of London Tokyo Nursing Top ($134) is a little different from the normal plain and block colour styles on the site, for a little bit of a more jazzy look.

True, their prices are fairly hefty to begin with and then shipping to Singapore incurs another fee, but we think if you’re planning to breastfeed for 6 months or up to a year even, the price per wear will be well worth it. And what price can you put on looking and feeling good post-partum, mamas? Next time around, we might just treat ourselves!
