Lights by the Lake is back at Jurong Lake Gardens from 27 September to 12 October 2025! This Mid-Autumn Festival event is known for its huge and vibrant lanterns that take over various parts of the massive park. There are also light shows, cultural performances and more to look forward to! Read on for what to expect at Lights by the Lake 2025:

This year’s Lights by the Lake 2025 theme surrounds the iconic lore of ‘Journey to the West’. The lanterns and light installations follow the Monkey King and his companions’ journey of transformation and loyalty. The lantern displays can be found at the Lakeside, Chinese Gardens and Japanese Gardens.

When: 27 September – 12 October 2025, 6.30pm – 10.30pm daily

Yes, there are light shows at Lights by the Lake! Head over to the Cloud Pagoda at Chinese Garden for the show that takes place every 30 minutes from 7.30pm onwards.

Live performances & cultural showcases

Lights by the Lake 2025 also brings about some fab live performances and cultural showcases to celebrate the season! Over at Wave Plaza at Lakeside Garden, look forward to performances that showcase various traditional instruments, cultural dance, live music performances and more.

Keep yourself fueled for all the lantern-spotting at the Food Market! Enjoy the fresh air as you enjoy bites and drinks at the al fresco seating area–a great way to pace yourself to explore all the lanterns at the park!

Rockestra: Final weekend of Lights by the Lake 2025

A fun wrap-up to Lights by the Lake 2025, NParks Concert Series in the Park: Rockestra® will take place at Ficus Lawn at Chinese Garden. Taking the stage are local artistes performing English and Mandarin tunes surrounding the concert’s theme ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’.
