Martini Bar at Grand Hyatt is back. What kind of cocktail are you?
After a six month hiatus and refurb, Grand Hyatt’s Martini Bar is back. The relaunch sees new plush seats and interiors, and a new gin and tonic bar at the party room. There are more than 60 different premium gins from around the world here, including Asia’s first craft gin Paper Lantern, and the multi award-winning Martin Miller’s Westbourne Strength Gin.
There are seven new martinis ($18) on offer for the cocktail crew. Think creative concoctions such as gummy bear, bloodyrita, apple truffle and blueberry citrus – but there are the old favourites on offer too -lychee, cosmopolitan and tiramisu martinis.

This pale green cucumber martini is low on sweetness, while being refreshing and (deceivingly) light in alcohol – it’s made with gin and freshly squeezed cucumber juice -perfect for anyone who habitually makes chia bowls for breakfast.
Vibrant red (to match your nails), this saucy number is a savoury slurp of vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, tabasco and Worcestershire sauce with a lick of salt around the rim. Grrrrr!
Aww, did you order this vodka martini for the sweet little gummy bears? It does still have vodka in it darling, oh and peach liqueur too, along with cranberry juice and those cute lil’ gummy bears!
Yup, apple and truffle! Dare you? Go on! This cocktail is gin based with freshly squeezed apple juice, lemon juice, lemongrass syrup and truffle.
If you could bottle up a beach holiday this might be it – a balmy martini of coconut vodka, malibu rum, fresh coconut juice and coconut peel. Pass the suncream, this one is hot!
“Mezzatime”, happens every day from 5pm to 9pm when all martinis, handcrafted gin and tonics, wines and house pours are priced at $14 per glass. Bar bites include addictive crispy fried split chicken wings served with a spicy Thai-style dipping sauce, a new offering of grilled Padrón peppers, crispy blue swimmer crab cakes and sushi.
