Marine Cove Playground at East Coast Park features a large play area and an impressive 8-metre-tall lighthouse tower for kids of all ages to enjoy!

Marine Cove Playground in East Coast Park is definitely one of our favourite free outdoor playgrounds in Singapore. In case you hadn’t heard, this playground is massive! In fact, it’s so big that it’s zoned into two areas: one for younger kids aged 2 to 5 and one for older kids aged 5 to 12. The playground also offers beautiful sea views for families to enjoy and five different F&B options to choose from whenever the kids get hungry or when we parents need a caffeine boost!

Pro tip #1: There’s not much shade available, so your best bet is to visit in the morning or late afternoon (we’ve heard it’s already been quite crowded late in the day). Otherwise, be sure to pack lots of sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water!

The main attraction is an 8-metre-tall tower inspired by a lighthouse. There are multiple climbing ropes, a rope bridge and numerous slides of all shapes and sizes to enjoy!  Metal slides like this one will probably get hot at midday, so do keep that in mind.

Toddler Play Areas: Crazy mirrors & mini climbing structures

If the lighthouse is too challenging, your little ones can enjoy adjacent toddler areas with mini slides, smaller climbing structures, crazy mirrors, and log tubes to crawl into!

Inclusive Play Equipment: Wavy walkways & inclusive swings

The playground is equipped with inclusive features such as spinning, rocking, and swinging equipment that help children develop muscular control. The wavy walkway supports children learning to walk and offers a rollercoaster-like experience for wheelchair users. Swings include an accessible option with a safety harness, and sensory play panels promote motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and rhythm.

When you and your kids get hungry after a day of play, you’ll find several dining options nearby. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, located right next to the playground, is perfect for a quick caffeine fix. For heartier meals, try Tash Tish Tosh or My Briyani House. Families with pets can relax at East Coast Commune, which offers a pet-friendly outdoor area. And for a classic family choice, McDonald’s is always a popular spot, especially for early breakfast runs by the beach.
