National Day 2018 Schedule
The theme: “We Are Singapore” will celebrate our people, our nation and our home Singapore with over 2,600 participants from different walks of life.
Pre-parade: See the Red Lions, and the Naval Combat Divers who will for the first time conduct a freefall water jump into Marina Bay to demonstrate their operational prowess.
Parade & Ceremony: There will be 33 marching contingents, plus – back after a five year hiatus – the Combined Schools Choir, and the largest combined Military Tattoo performance for an NDP held at the Float.
Other faves to keep an eye out for include the 21-Gun Presidential Gun Salute on the M3G military raft, the Feu De Joie, as well as the State Flag flypast flown by an RSAF Chinook helicopter escorted by two AH-64D Apache helicopters.
RSAF will also dazzle by flying in formation in an aerial flypast towards The Float @ Marina Bay. There will also be exciting aerial maneuvers by fighter aircraft as they soar in the skies above the Marina Bay area.
Show: Set up at the Floating Platform, the film of real-life stories of five individuals, will be displayed on swivel panels that can be combined to form a single 50m-wide screen, or multiple smaller screens. There will even be a water procession of 18 vessels comprising lit-up boats and floats that will sail around the bay!
Fireworks finale: ‘We Are Singapore ‘ will comprise 500 performers with ethnic drums, along with a chance to take our pledge and sing the National Anthem. And then, of course, the stunning display of fireworks!
