With holiday workshops for kids from 7 months through 12 years old, ACT 3 has got something to ignite every child’s imagination while delivering lots of fun and laughter along the way.

We love the slate of Christmas-themed learning adventures they’ve lined up for November and December, incorporating the works of classics like Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Eric Carle’s Dream Snow and more.

Kiddos will boost skills like self-confidence and teamwork as they learn to perform onstage and work alongside others. The workshops even culminate with an amazing presentation for parents (from the 3-to-12-year-olds) at the end of each week.

Here’s a quick roundup of the various programs for different ages:

For 7 – 24 months: Look Up! Look Up to the Sky!
Based on the oh-so-sweet book Little Cloud by Eric Carle, children in this parent-child workshop will learn to build imagination through experiential and tactile learning by singing, moving and dramatising with simple props.

For age 2: Snowy Dreams
Christmas is just around the corner there’s not a single snowflake in `sight; then an old farmer takes a nap and begins to dream about snow! In this parent-child drama workshop, everyone can dream and explore together while learning new vocabulary, singing a Christmas song, and creating “dream snow” through imagination and play.

For ages 3 – 4: A Rhyming Christmas Mystery
Uncover the secrets behind Mother Goose children’s classics like Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill, Old Mother Hubbard and others – all with a dash of Christmas thrown in! With Mother Goose (one of their drama teachers!) leading the way, children will develop their speech and rhyming skills during this 5-day drama workshop.

For ages 5 – 7: Puss-in-Boots
Kids can join the world’s most cunning cat on a Christmas adventure as he tricks an ogre into giving up his castle, charms the socks off a king, and more. Working on skills like characterization and improvsation, children will learn to physicalize their actions as they embody each character to tell the story with this 5-day drama workshop.

For ages 8 – 12: Don’t Steal Christmas, please!
In this 5-day workshop kids will collaborate on the all-time Christmas classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas while honing skills like character work, spatial awareness, and concentration along with teamwork and presentation. It will all culminate in a super fun presentation for family and friends at week’s end!

Workshops will run from 21 November – 17 December (dates and duration vary by age group), with prices ranging from $50-$60 for a 1-day parent-child course to $300-$380 for the weeklong 5-day workshops.
