World Press Photo Singapore Exhibition
Billed as the “Oscars” of photojournalism, the annual World Press Photo exhibition returns to Singapore this year, held for the first time in the National Museum of Singapore! This free exhibition will showcase 145 prize-winning photographs that captured the most powerful, expressive, and on occasion provocative press images from around the world. Stick around to catch the photojournalism talks being held by homegrown photography talent Sim Chi Yin with two other award-winning photographers – Pete Muller and Sarker Protick.

Watercolour Workshops @ Dempsey January

Kids’ Watercolour Workshops @ Dempsey
Discover your inner artist and be amazed at what you or your kiddos can create, mama! You don’t need to have any art experience to join, just a willingness to learn something new. Led by super talented artist (and former That Mama!) Kavita Rajput, each workshop will have participants guided through easy-to-follow steps to create two small watercolour paintings from scratch. All materials will be provided, so just bring yourselves. Take home two little paintings, uniquely yours!

Jubilee Walk

Jubilee Walk guided tour
Join the Jubilee Walk for a scenic 5km walk from the National Museum of Singapore to Esplanade to discover the past, present and future of the Singapore Story! Launched in 2015 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Singapore’s independence, the Jubilee Walk marks key milestones of Singapore’s nation-building and is a lasting physical legacy of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee celebrations.

Breastfeeding: “Be Outright, It’s Your Right”
Catering to mothers and soon-to-be-mothers, this event brings about the best in ladies that are already in, or are entering motherhood. Many new mothers breastfeed according to what they have been told by the people around them, but did you know that there’s more to breastfeeding? The itinerary includes talks by Ms Mythili from Breastfeeding Mothers Support Group, Baby Massage and Baby Shower demonstrations by staff from Singapore General Hospital, and talks and demonstrations on Breast Massage and Heat Therapy by Madam Salwa from Mummy Massage. There will also be a goodie bag of awesome Pigeon products worth $50 and a t-shirt for supportive partners.
