An independent, family-owned international school in Singapore, The Winstedt School is leading the way in inclusive learning, thanks to their bespoke education for diverse learners from Reception-Senior School. With more than a decade of successfully applying Universal Design for Learning and its own innovative pedagogy with integrated therapy into the classroom, The Winstedt School’s approach is structured, with multi-sensory learning that’s tailored to each student’s needs. Students here develop self-confidence, life skills and learn to be self-advocates to succeed not just in academics, but in life. There are two teachers in a classroom of no more than 15 students, and each child has a dedicated team of highly trained in-house specialists including therapists, school counsellors, and psychologists that collaborate with the two teachers to implement customised strategies.

The school also has a SEED (Readiness) Programme, which offers support for Early Years students (reception to Year 3) who require higher degrees of individualised attention before accessing Winstedt’s mainstream curriculum. Twice-exceptional (2e) gifted students aren’t left out either, as they can benefit from the Curie-Einstein Programme – the one and only programme of its kind in Singapore that recognises students with incredible gifts and talents to harness their full potential.  Winstedt’s in-house therapy and pastoral care team provides skills and tools that are relevant to every student not offered in any other school. This allows students to practice and apply the impact of therapy and social and emotional development support in the school, rather than receiving support in isolation.
