Penny University

402 East Coast Rd, Singapore 428997
6345 9055
Nestled in a little corner on East Coast Road, Penny University is a cosy spot that's great for brunch and wins our hearts with their yummy breakfast platters, delicious coffee and tea and of course, speedy free Wi-Fi and availability of power outlets! While they're always buzzing on weekends, weekdays sees it to be very mellow and quiet, making it the perfect place to get work done (while munching on scrambled eggs on toast).

The Jigger & Pony Group are opening a new all-day restaurant-bar, Caffe Fernet, overlooking Marina Bay. It's the Group's sixth and latest addition. The 130-seater is located along the panoramic waterfront of the Customs House and we can imagine the views will be stunning. The menu is set to feature Italian fare from the food through to the cocktails -- Spritzers and Negronis here we come! Opens early March.

Joe & The Juice

Multi Address
This place has been doing for juice what Starbucks did for coffee. And now the Danish mega-chain has come to Singapore. Of course they do coffee too (and its 100% organic), plus sandwiches like Avocado, Mozzarella, Tomato ($10.50) or Spicy Tuna ($10.50). But it’s the juices that have people super pumped. Designed for taste and maximum nutritional pow-wow, juices are squeezed on demand to retain all nutritional goodness (after 20 minutes at room temperature, they say juice vitamins start walking so drink…

Summerlong

60 Robertson Quay #01-04, Singapore 238252,
Tel: (+65) 6235 1225
We are totally in love with the decor at this new Robertson Quay resto: think lots of wicker, a white washed palette and swinging chairs — it’s like Bali meets the Mediterranean. The yummy brunch menu has a Middle Eastern bent with options like Turkish Breakfast (labneh…mmmmm!), Falafel Scotch Egg and a Cypriot Burger, though you can also go sweeter with Almond Yogurt, Blueberry Pancakes, or the intriguing “Fried Dough” with sour cherry, chocolate and pistachio nut butter. And naturally they’ve got Avocado Toast. Anywhere the kids can scoot,…
