Why are we always in yoga gear? My personal excuse

Why are we always in yoga gear? My personal excuse is that I always have the 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 to do some exercise. Sometimes I win, sometimes the day whizzes by without me having done an up dog or 15-minute jog. But sitting in yoga gear puts me one step closer to my goals. Plus s̶ ̶w̶ ̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶t̶ ̶i̶ ̶n̶ ̶g̶ glowing from this SG humidity while wearing yoga gear seems so much more civilized than glowing in Versace. Not that I own any Versace. But still.⁠

I am so over serving up toast and cereal (even if it is relatively low sugar Weetabix or homemade granola) for weekday breakfasts! Where are the colours? But who has time to cook gourmet brekkies before the school-run/work/coffee kicks in? Here's a little hack - have you tried loaded sweet potatoes for breakfast? Bear with me! You can oven roast them the night before and then serve them with crazy toppings! Wha's not to love?Pictured 1: yoghurt and blueberries, 2: nut butter, bananas and chocolate drops, 3: scrambled egg and tomatoes. ⁠
If your little one turns their nose up at these (which they will of course if you've spent any amount of time cooking them) then you could just pack them for your lunch and have all your work colleagues oooh and ahh over them (via Zoom obvs). Link in bio for plant-based recipes.⁠

Here at Sassy Mama we're constantly debating among ourselves on the safety of social media for young people, particularly kids. The minimum age required to create an Instagram account is 13, but there’s no age verification process and we all know kids tend to get introduced to it much earlier – especially if their friends in school have smartphones and Instagram accounts themselves. Instagram recently introduced a slew of new updates focused on keeping teens safe on the platform (including the new 'pinned comments' feature to encourage positivity and also making it more difficult for adults to find and message teens on IG. More in our link in bio), so we're keeping a close watch on how much safer they really make it for teens on this app. So parents, what say you? Have you allowed your kids to have IG or other social media like Tiktok? If yes, how do you make sure they use it safely?

Bukit Batok Neighbourhood Park Playground has just opened with a huge swirling see-through tube slide, a rope obstacle course, and more!⁠⁠
There are three areas to play here - the newest playground for big kids with a high climbing structure and a long tube slide (that's not actually metallic - hurrah)! There's also a smaller separate play area for littlies and the original red and blue playground (swipe for pics). ⁠⁠
