We all know how the holidays work, mamas. You can’t wait to have the little ones scampering about at home for a few weeks, but there’s that frazzled feeling as you exhaust yourself and your lovingly-prepared list of activities.

Fear not, mamas! Camp Asia, one of Singapore’s largest holiday camp providers, is here to bring excitement and education to your children’s holidays and perhaps a little light relief to you.

This December and January, Camp Asia could see the transformation of your brood into crowd-pleasing cooks, technology whizzes or mini-Monets (assuming you don’t count those crayon scribbles on your living room wall as art). Camps lined up include popular Multi-Activity and Sport Stars as well as Super Chef, Mini Mandarin, Passion for Art, and Tech Savvy.

In cookery class, ambition doesn’t stop at chocolate crispie cakes, oh no. Teaching will come from celeb chef Emmanuel Stroobant and his crew. At the end of the week, the kid kitchen will set up a restaurant and cook for you – make sure you take your cameras for this super-sweet snacking.

In Camp Asia’s new Passion for Art classes, you’ll see your smalls’ skills exceed even their talent for getting paint all over the kitchen floor.

This camp combines creativity and the use of different techniques with art history and art appreciation. Passion for Art concludes with a fabulous finale gallery opening to admire your child’s work (the best on the wall, naturally, though of course you’re not biased).

While they play, your happy campers will be learning new talents, building confidence and honing those all-important social skills.

Camp Asia knows that being able to trust staff is top priority in any parent’s choice of activity for their wee ones. It employs only experienced educators during its camps, and it uses only the best school sites that offer complete safety and top level facilities. There’s a full-time nurse on duty during every camp, and all staff have up-to-date first aid training.

There’s even a bus service to its sites from many convenient spots on the island to make your life easier. So mamas, drop them off, put those tired feet up for a few hours and await your invitation to a Camp Asia cooking spectacular or some Mandarin chit chat come home time.

Camps are suitable for children between 3 and 11 years of age.
