Are you as psyched as we are for Game of Thrones to return for its final season? While we of course majorly heart beloved characters like Jon Snow and Tyrion (even The Hound and Jaime Lannister have had major redemption arcs), one of the best parts of GoT is its many badass female characters. From pint-sized assassin Arya Stark, to the honorable knight Brienne of Tarth, to acid-tongued power players like Cersei Lannister and Olenna Tyrell (the Queen of Thorns), women on Game of Thrones are multi-faceted (literally, in Arya’s case), imperfect, and dynamic.

As we were re-watching the series recently for the umpteenth time, we got to thinking about the key role motherhood plays on the show: Danaerys Targaryen calls herself “The Mother of Dragons”; Cersei insists she commits all of her heinous crimes to protect her children; in fact one of the show’s core mysteries is the true identity of Jon Snow’s mother. Since motherhood is kinda something we’re all about here at Sassy Mama, and because who doesn’t love a good Game of Thrones quiz, we’ve come up with our own!
