SG Cookathon 2020

Singapore’s first virtual cooking and baking festival, SG Cookathon 2020 is all about bringing the community together through a shared love of food. The festival offers two weekends full of fun activities such as lunch and dinner cookalongs with cooking pros like Payal from Commune Kitchen, MasterChef Singapore season one finalists Genevieve Lee and Shamysydar and trivia sessions with attractive prizes.

Those planning their holiday menus will love the festive cooking specials, which will showcase Christmas cooking and baking tips to create modern Malay and Indian dishes, Singaporean delights, secret family recipes and festive cocktails.

The highlight of the festival is undoubtedly the YoRipe Junior Master Chef competition. Open to children between the ages of 5 and 13, participants will cook up a storm in two semi-final rounds before moving on the finals, which will be hosted by local artist Ben Yeo and judged by local personalities Mint 明荃 and The MeatMen, who will judge each junior chef’s creativity, presentation and cooking technique.

Parents will also get to learn about on-trend health issues such as child obesity, food allergies, plant-based diets, intermittent fasting and much more in a series of talk shows. The entire festival will take place over Zoom, Youtube or Facebook, which means you’ll get to have fun and stay safe at the same time.
