Free Kids’ Arts & Crafts Workshops and Papermaking Demos: STPI Open House

Do your kids love making and creating? Head on over to the STPI Creative Workshop and Gallery for their annual Open House 2023: Fables held across the weekend. Step into the world of all-time favourite children’s stories like the Three Little Pigs, the Tortoise and the Hare, Little Red Riding Hood and more. Kids of all ages will be able to try their hand at recreating storybook images or making their own paper tortoise and hare to race to the finish line!

For kids who love stamps, join stamp carver Rachel Ma to create your own bookplate rubber stamp – the type of stamp that was used to label a book with the owner’s name in the 15th century! You will even get to join an interactive storytelling and performance of The Ant & the Grasshopper and create cute stamps of ants and critters to take home. There will be plenty of opportunities for your kids to get artsy plus they can even get an insight into print and papermaking techniques. And best of all, it’s absolutely free!
