Chingay Heartlands Is Coming to You Westies! “Spot The Float” Contest to Win a Staycation at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa

If you missed out on the Chingay Parade last weekend, fret not! Chingay will be coming to you Westies in the heartlands on Saturday 9 March 2024.

Chingay@West Coast GRC and Pioneer SMC: Chingay will be coming to 6 different locations across West Coast GRC and Pioneer Constituency, along with iconic floats and captivating multicultural performances. These family-friendly events promise plenty of exciting activities for quality bonding time. Plus, you don’t even have to travel downtown (perfect for families who aren’t fans of long commutes!). Look out for the popular God of Fortune, stilt walkers, and Chingay performers decked out in their multi-ethnic costumes who will also gladly oblige for a pic. There will also be beautiful art pieces co-created with the community, cultural performances, carnival rides, as well as food and game booths that are sure to keep the kids entertained.

Learn about green efforts with your little ones at the sustainability showcase @ Telok Blangah, catch a lion and dragon dance performance @ West Coast or enjoy a one-of-its-kind light projection show on a HDB façade @ Boon Lay. Have you ever seen a balloon firecracker? Catch not one, but five @ Ayer Rajah! Head to Pioneer to enjoy roving performances and carnival games or visit Gek Poh to get artsy crafty with bracelet making, straw hat painting and banner graffiti.
