Satisfy any sweet tooth with Singapore’s hottest (coolest) dessert trend yet: oh-so-tasty lava cookie ice cream
I honestly thought I had seen it all with dessert trends when Freakshakes stepped out; I mean, wow many ways can you pimp up ice cream? Turns out I was wrong, though. Mamas, I give you the Lava Cookie Ice Cream set! Deliciousness on a plate.
Creamery Boutique Ice Creams in Jalan Besar focuses on premium quality homemade ice creams, in original and unique flavors – think peanut butter and jelly, or Thai iced tea – as well as your classics.
They make all ice cream on site and insist on small batch production to maintain the exceptional quality. All recipes are original, exclusive and personally developed to include a unique Creamery twist – that means NEW flavours every day! Specials include Black Dog (made from the local stout beer), Piko Piko (tiramisu-based ice cream with mascarpone cheese, chocolate fudge and Kopiko coffee candy), and the latest addition to the menu, Secret Garden, made from Eternal Garden Tea that is unique to Creamery Singapore.
Then you take this amazing ice cream and put it on top of a freshly baked, hot, oozing chocolate, cookie – served in the pan. HEAVEN!
My kids and I tried:
–The Red Devil: Red Velvet Cream Cheese Lava with Berry Cheesecake Ice Cream ($8.90)
–Choc-a-lot: Chocolate Lava with Salted Egg White Caramel Ice Cream ($8.90)
–Brownie Cookie: A non-lava version with Berry Storm Ice Cream ($7.90)
Another popular item on the menu is Monster Matcha, a heaping scoop of green tea ice cream atop a cookie oozing creamy matcha.
Each item easily serves 2-3, people, perfect for treating the kids or a romantic date night (though I can’t promise you’ll want to share!). It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon treating the kids … and mama, too!
Opening Hours: Monday to Sunday, 11am to 10pm (closed on Thursdays)
