Four interactive zones with projections, hidden surprises & more

Now, 4,600sqm may sound huge, but trust us when we say that exploring all of Curiosity Cove’s four zones will be a breeze. That’s because it was designed to encourage kids to explore just like animals do in the wild. The entire playscape is inspired by real-world ecosystems: Wetlands, Forestlands, Grasslands and Drylands. You can expect holes to crawl through, nets and soft play elements to climb, areas where kids can hop and jump, multimedia projections to chase and interactive multi-sensory touchpoints that light up, produce sounds and so much more!

The interactive multimedia experiences

We’re big fans of pretty projections, and Curiosity Cove delivers! Tap the corals at the Reef Retreat at the Wetlands, and a surprise marine inhabitant will emerge from below. The Microscopic Canopy at the Forestlands is also a must, for 360-degree projections that journey from the forest floor through the canopy, where you can walk around to magnify the forest’s hidden creatures. At the Watering Hole in the Grasslands, kids can jump across rocks and logs and spot their animal reflection in the water. Nature’s Theatre in the Grasslands is fantastic for winding down, as kids can be surprised by the hidden migrating animals of the savannah. Kids can also uncover hidden tunnels and critters at the Underground Galleries in the Drylands!

The experiential play: Where do we even begin? At the Forestlands, kids can peek into little animal homes to find hidden surprises. The 6-metre-tall Orangutan Sleeping Platform is a clear hit with the young ones, because what’s more fun than climbing giant, comfy leaves? The Singing Tree is also a sensory treat: shake the hanging lianas to spur growls, chirps, squeaks and purrs from the tree! The Wetlands has a fab series of mini-trampoline waterlilies that you’ll 100% want to try hopping through. Plus, the Grasslands are filled with the most aesthetic grass where hidden animals await discovery–just give them a gentle tap for even more surprises! Then you’ll come across the Drylands’ Giant Snake Belly. This 27-metre-long horned viper not only looks super cool, but is also great for climbing and sliding. Don’t miss the enchanting Bat Cave, which comes alive with the sounds you make. You’ll also find many soft play structures around Curiosity Cove for plenty of climbing and exploring–a feature we particularly love for tots who are just learning to walk!

The thoughtful touches: When it comes to inclusivity, Curiosity Cove doesn’t disappoint. The playscape is wheelchair-accessible, and there are two Calm Zones for kids who may find themselves overwhelmed. It’s also a shoe-free space (P.S. grip socks are a must!), but they’ve provided facilities to accommodate adequate storage and retrieval of your shoes.

Meaningful play experience at Curiosity Cove

Kids will definitely burn off lots of energy at Curiosity Cove, but it’s not just about a fun play experience. There are many other benefits to the experience as well! We love that all the elements of exploration are designed to support kids’ cognitive, social, motor and locomotor development while encouraging them to use their imagination.
