Melissa Shoes collaborates with BAJA EAST for a cruelty-free fashion match made in heaven

When a fashion brand comes up with something in signature Sassy Mama pink, you can count on us to be first in line to get the scoop. After a string of iconic collaborations under their belt with designers like Vivienne Westwood and Karl Lagerfeld, everyone’s favourite eco-friendly Brazilian shoe label Melissa has teamed up with New York fashion brand BAJA EAST to create a bold collection of edgy footwear and accessories – think cruelty-free python-textured bags and shoes that look like the real deal … only much more affordable, and 100% recyclable. (We’re all about that green lifestyle!)

Here’s your chance to sound like you’re part of the fashion in-crowd, mama: BAJA East is best known for their ‘loose luxury’ aesthetic, which they describe as a “laid-back California cool with a city street edge”. With cool girls Karlie Kloss and Maria Borges walking their most recent runway (clad in Melissa + BAJA EAST shoes, of course), it’s easy to look like the most fashion forward mama around when you’re sporting these.

The collection comprises four footwear styles – ‘Thriving’ Beach Slides, $115 (so perfect for Singapore!); Cosmic Python sandals, $135; Desert Boots, $180; and Python Heels, $180 – and a totally covetable python-embossed drawstring bucket bag, $225 which comes in three colours (including the soft pink colour we’re so in love with!).
