Accuracy of the Chinese Gender Predictor Chart
How accurate is this Chinese Boy/Girl Prediction Chart you may wonder? To be fair, it’s not exactly based on science so there’s no real evidence that this chart works. Some report it is 90% accurate but we say there’s a 50: 50 chance of it being correct (wink!)
If you want to be a little more accurate you can find out your baby’s sex when you have your second-trimester ultrasound known as the 20-week anomaly scan, which is usually done between 18 and 22 weeks. Or if you have a lot more patience, you can find out on the big day when your baby enters the world!
Can You Predict a Child’s Gender?
*This chart was originally referred to as a Chinese Gender Prediction Chart but although gender and sex are sometimes connected, they are two separate things. The most basic difference is that a person’s sex is determined by their physical characteristics at birth, while their gender encompasses who they are, and how they present themself. So while this sex prediction chart might predict if you are having a boy or girl, you might not know your child’s true gender until they are able to self-identify when they grow up.
