Missing out on sakura season in Japan this year because of Covid-19? That’s alright because you’ll get to experience magnificent cherry blossoms right here in Singapore at Gardens by the Bay. To make it even more exciting, Japan’s most popular kitty cat is making an appearance, too! Walk through the torii gates – a traditional Japanese gate, usually located at the entrance of Shinto shrines – and enter a serene landscape filled with gorgeous cherry blossoms, also known as the sakura flower. Look out for the popular Hello Kitty characters, which will be spread throughout the display, sitting gracefully alongside Japanese, red-crowned cranes and stunning arrangements of sakura and momo (peach blossoms). Make your way down afterwards for a nodate (outdoor tea picnic) and keep an eye for the life-size Hello Kitty topiary for some like-worthy shots on Instagram.
