Zoom Cooking Classes for kids & helpers: Book a class, buy your ingredients and join foodie mama Ghillie for her step-by-step classes. Try making homemade meatballs, flatbreads, lemon and blueberry muffins and chocolate biscuit cake pluts lots of other delicious children’s favourites. Simply Good cookbook: The circuit breaker may be over, but it looks like we will still be doing lots of home cooking before we can dine in restaurants again! The Methodist Church in Singapore (MCS) has published Simply Good, a cookbook filled with quick, affordable recipes for families from all walks of life. In it you’ll find recipes for Peranakan, Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisines, compiled by three members of the General Conference Women’s Society of Christian Service, who are all avid foodies themselves.

Nursery Rhymes Project: This three-part initiative by The Theatre Practice created to revive classic Mandarin nursery rhymes consists of a music album, illustrated lyric book, and live performances to be made available on Spotify and Apple Music from 20 June 2020. The official launch will take place online via Practice’s Facebook livestream.

National Gallery Biennale goes online: National Gallery has launched #SmallBigDreamersAtHome, an online art festival for kids 6 to 12 running until 28 March 2021. The biennale features interactive games and hands-on art activities for kids to unleash their inner artist while also learning about key, kid-friendly artworks within the National Gallery’s collection and beyond.

Due to the pandemic, plenty of SPCA Singapore’s efforts such as adoption drives and outdoor fundraising events have had to be put on hold. So they launched Background Homes, an initiative that not only turns e-meetings into something cute and fun, but more importantly draws much-needed attention to SPCA’s up-for-adoption pets.
