Besides the near constant sunshine, the other wonderful thing about living in Singapore has got to be the food. With eating often referred to as the national pastime, pre-kids our weekends pretty much revolved around finding new restaurants and discovering new dishes. All that might have changed with the arrival of the little munchkins, but that’s all the more reason to mark your diaries for a gastronomic date night with a difference!
That’s right, the full-service pop-up restaurant, 4XFOUR is returning for the second year running. Bringing together the very best in culinary talent mixed with a contemporary art space, this thrilling event is set to run over four whole weeks, but you’ll want to book your visit soon mamas, as it’s sure to be a sell-out.
So just what can we expect? Well, hosted by four separate chefs over the four weeks, each session will feature an original menu reflecting that chef’s tastes and specialities. So, lets talk chefs. Foodie fans hold onto your hats as 4XFOUR brings you Nathan Outlaw. A four Michelin-starred chef from the UK known as the King of Seafood, he will be making his very first trip to Singapore. A protégé of the acclaimed Rick Stein, Nathan’s cuisine ensures only the best display of seafood, so it’s definitely a must-catch for those of you who love fish! Hailing from Paris is Hiroki Yoshitake, co-owner and executive chef of Michelin-starred Sola. The feisty Japanese chef focuses on fresh ingredients that are stunningly presented. There’s also Mads Refslund, the co-founder of noma, which was voted World’s Best Restaurant, and Rolf Fliegauf of Ristorante ECCO, another owner of four Michelin stars.
The event runs from 13 November to 7 December, for both brunch and dinner. If you’re serious about your food, this is one event you won’t want to miss out on!

When: 13 November to 7 December. Week one runs from 13-16 November with Chef Mads Refslund. Week two runs from 18-23 November with Chef Nathan Outlaw. Week three runs from 25-30 November with Chef Hiroki Yoshitake. Week four runs from 2-7 December with Chef Rolf Fliegauf.
Brunch runs on Saturday and Sunday from 11am and dinner, Tuesday to Friday from 7:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 7pm.

How much: Brunch includes four courses with free flow of Champagne for $168++ per person and dinner comes with eight courses for $248++ per person when you pay with your Visa Card (for a limited time only). Non-Visa Cardholders pay $188++ and $288++ respectively.
