Audition for the first MasterChef Asia!

MasterChef is the cooking show that’s taken the world by storm, produced in over 40 countries and allowing amateur cooks to show off their stuff in a competitive kitchen atmosphere under the watchful eye of top chefs and food critics. We are so chuffed to see that it’s finally coming to Singapore, and want YOU to apply for the first ever MasterChef Asia, mama!

Are you one of those mums who actually enjoys making artful school lunches for your kiddos? Do you approach dinner parties with zeal, rather than trepidation? Do you lead the charge on any school bake sale? Then this show is for you.

From Asian street food to French fine dining, the English-language show is looking to cast cooks with a diverse range of specialties. The only requirement is that you have never worked professionally as a cook or chef, and that you legally reside in Asia. You’ll also need to be available for up to eight weeks of filming between April and September (depending how far you make it in the competition). All you have to do to audition is fill out an application form and submit a short video of yourself explaining why you want to be on MasterChef. You can apply online or submit your application by mail; all the details can be found here. Just make sure you get your application in by the 16 March deadline (that’s next Monday, mama!).
