Singapore Repertory Theatre’s upcoming production by British award-winning playwright Duncan Macmillan is ‘LUNGS’.

‘LUNGS’ is directed by Daniel Jenkins, who says, “Lungs is one of those scripts that doesn’t come around very often. A script that is so cleverly constructed, with dialogue that challenges both the actor and the audience, that feels so relevant and topical. It just jumped off the page to me. It is intelligent, funny, moving and surprising.”

Synopsis: An everyday couple’s fairly stable relationship hits the rocks when he pops the question about having a baby. What happens next forms this intense and intricate play, that shares what it means to be a couple that’s grappling with making responsible choices in a world filled with uncertainty, social inequity, environmental disaster and political unrest. LUNGS stars Oon Shu An and Joshua Lim, and is written by critically acclaimed British playwright Duncan Macmillan.
