Due to his non-interventionist, true-to-mama’s-wishes delivery style, Dr. Lai is very popular (and unfortunately expensive too). Rumour has it that he’s got the lowest c-section rate in town and that he doesn’t do episiotomies (hallelujah we say!). Apparently he might even consider home births which is far from a given these days and has a good relationship with the doulas at Tranquil Beginnings. If you like super-warm and fuzzy though, he might not be your dude.

Dr Anita Menon completed her undergraduate and postgraduate medical training in Ireland and the U.K. She is a well-rounded pediatrician who can be trusted. Her specialty is in infectious diseases, which unfortunately we believe she gets to practice quite a bit with our tropical climate in Singapore. As of autumn 2016 she's opened up her own clinic, but is still based on the East Coast.
