Language Of Instruction
Early Years: Inquiry-based, Reggio-Emilia Inspired
The Elementary School curriculum offers a structured approach to teaching core subjects, with a major emphasis on the development of language, writing, and arithmetic skills. Science, social studies, and health, art, physical education, music, technology, world languages, library skills, and swimming are also integrated into the curriculum.
Middle School: Reading, language arts, social studies, math, science, physical education, health, and world language, plus project-based learning to provide real-world experiences.
High School: SAS offers 25 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, the AP Capstone Diploma program, and a growing number of specialized advanced topic courses for students who wish to pursue college-level study while still in high school.
SAS students are citizens of 63 different countries. 53% are US citizens, 11% are from India, 8% from Singapore, 6% from Korea, 5% from China, 2% each from Japan, Canada, the UK, and Australia, 1% from the Philippines, and the other 8% hold passports from 53 countries.
