Fancy yourself a foodie, mama? Mark your calendar for this year’s SAVOUR Gourmet Festival coming in May, bigger and better than ever before!
Celebrate the delicious at the fifth installment of SAVOUR, Singapore’s largest gourmet festival, this May, mama! For the first time ever, the series is expanding into three different events over the course of the year, kicking off with “Savour Gourmet” from 12-15 May at Marina Bay Sands.
As ever, highlights will include the alfresco Gourmet Village with its stellar lineup of restaurants, themed bars and live music, as well as the always-popular Gourmet Market, which showcases exceptional products from around the world with everything from Iberico Ham, to more than 200 types of cheeses, to a dedicated Oyster Bar with over 20 varieties flown in fresh from around the world.
An exciting new addition to this year’s festival is the DBS Live Your Dream initiative, a yearlong competition that’s all about finding Singapore’s next generation of culinary superstars. Each young chef is mentored by an experienced chef/restaurateur (including Artichoke’s Bjorn Shen, Gattopardo’s Lino Sauro, Ce La Vi’s Frederic Fauchaux and more), and what’s even cooler is that YOU could have a hand in crowning the winner, as the public will vote for the best chef and best dish out of over 40 culinary creations on show!
We also love another new feature this year: FREE walkabout access! Fans can explore the festival grounds for free and purchases items or dishes on a per-consumption basis. Of course, we think you’ll want to snag a SAVOUR Experience Pack in advance mama (just $30 through Sistic), as it’ll get you exclusive dishes, limited edition goodies, and other unique benefits. For instance, you’ll get yourself a world-famous “Molecular Xiaolongbao” from 3-Michelin Star Chef Alvin Leung of Hong Kong’s Bo Innovation (he’ll be on hand for Master Classes and to judge “Live Your Dream”). Later on this year you can look forward to “SAVOUR Wines” and “SAVOUR Christmas”, but for now you’ll definitely want to whet your appetite with SAVOUR Gourmet. There will be dinner sessions running from 6-11pm on Thursday and Friday, May 12 and 13, with both lunch (11am -4pm) and dinner happening on Saturday the 14th and an all-day session on Sunday the 15th. Take your extravagant Sunday brunch to a whole other level, mama!
