Looking for fun things for the kids to do in Singapore during the June school holidays this summer 2024? Check out these kids’ activities and fun events!

The June school holidays for local schools are from 25 May to 23 June 2024, while international school summer holidays kick off from the end of June 2024 until the end of August 2024. If you haven’t signed your kiddos up for any awesome summer holiday camps, you better hop to it (check out the early bird discounts!). But what about the rest of the June school holidays? We line up some (ticketed and free) activities and events, plus suggestions of fun kids’ things to do in Singapore!

Visit Universal Studios Singapore during the holidays

The Transformers Ride and the Battlestar Galactica ride at Universal Studios are firm favourites with older kids. Do note that now that the Madagascar-themed lazy river ride and merry go rounds are no longer, littler kids may have less to do, but there are still parades and fun younger kids’ rides like Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase (although do note entry is free for under 4-year-olds).

Head to SuperPark: indoor fun for older kids & young tots

Indoor playground SuperPark is always great for kids all ages, so it’s the perfect spot for siblings over the June school holidays! Superpark consists of two levels of unlimited activities including a popular Pedal Car Track (with pedal bikes for older kids and smaller tricycles for the young ones), a tube slide that zooms down a hill, a flying fox, trampolines, archery, plus ball games like SuperBall and BaseBall; interactive games like SuperHoop, SuperPinBall, Valo Jump, Hot Stepper, as well as adrenaline-pumping games like Skate & Scoot, Augmented Climbing, SuperClimb and more!

Spend the June School Hols at Bird Paradise

Take the kids to the bird park Bird Paradise, home to 3,500 birds across 400 species from loris to pelicans, flamingos, emus, and cassowaries. Bird Paradise is one of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve parks together with the Singapore ZooNight Safari and River Wonders. From huge walk-through bird aviaries to playgrounds, bird feeding and shows, there’s plenty of fun in store!

Visit Science Centre for educational fun

Plan a whole morning or even a full day at Science Centre Singapore, exploring different topics from climate change to kinetic forces, all in a kid-friendly, hands-on way. Your kids will be pushing buttons, experimenting with levers and absorbing so much that they won’t even realise they are learning. This edutainment centre brings the amazing world of science alive for kids (and adults!) Highlights include the Omni-Theatre* and for little kids KidsSTOP*.

Take the kids wakeboarding

Sporty kids as young as six and teens alike will love wakeboarding around Singapore! Many wakeboarding schools are located at Northshore Drive, where you can wakeboard in the sea, or you can head to Singapore Wake Park at East Coast – the only cable-ski wake park in Singapore. Get pulled along East Coast lagoon by suspended motorised cables – instructors are on hand to help. You’ll need to book your slot well ahead of time as this is one popular school holiday activity for kids!

Rock climbing adventures

Looking for an extraordinary way to spend the June holidays? Look no further than Outpost Climbing! Our kids absolutely love a day at this amazing rock climbing gym that offers a wide range of challenges suitable for climbers of all ages and skill levels. Because there’s something for little kids and adults Outpost Climbing (previously known as T-Hall) is great for family fun. Little ones love playing at the Tayo Station indoor play with its three-storey Gani’s Playground, ball pool, sensory play at the Hinoki Wood Pit and the star attraction, Tayo’s Road Circuit. During the June school holidays, there’s extra fun in store with extra workshops and activities. Tickets for kids’ workshops are $8 (non-member), $6 (Lite Member), $2 (Elite Member). Cost is not inclusive of admission to Tayo Station.

Try out Hydrodash

HydroDash is the inflatable obstacle course floating in the sea just off Palawan Beach on Sentosa. This water park is quite the workout for older kids and parents too (although there’s a separate much smaller section for younger kids 5 to 6 years old, at least 1 metre or taller and accompanied by an adult). The June school holidays are the perfect time to try this obstacle course out with the kiddos! Scale the floating platforms, balance over narrow connecting steps and slide down as you navigate the slippery obstacle course. Read more here.

Visit KidzWorld & pet animals at the Singapore Zoo

The Singapore Zoo never disappoints (we go multiple times a year and love feeding the animals – especially the elephants and giraffes!). There’s a new KidzWorld at Singapore Zoo that kids will enjoy after looking around all the animal exhibits. This kids’ area boasts seven interactive indoor and outdoor zones, as well as a Canine Clubhouse and 250 animal residents, including interaction opportunities with the friendly cats, chickens, rabbits, and horses. Look out for the Ranger Buddies Quest (open on weekends and during school holidays), an immersive experience that allows little ones to step into the shoes of a keeper, nutritionist, and veterinarian. The water play area has had a revamp too. While sadly the water slides are no longer available, kids can beat the heat at the water fountains maze! Read more about the Singapore Zoo here.

Splash at an awesome free water playground

There are so many great outdoor water play options for kids of all ages – plus what better way to beat the heat? The Children’s Garden at Gardens by The Bay has finally reopened, and don’t miss the new water park playgrounds in Toa Payoh (complete with flying fox, bucket swings, trampolines around the corner and a mini track too) and Jelutung Harbour Park in Admiralty!

Take the kids go-kart racing!

Get behind the wheel and experience go-karting! There are a number of places to go kart in Singapore with outdoor circuits, as well as the new indoor electric go-karting Hyperdrive in Sentosa, which is three levels of air-con go-karting fun! This indoor go karting is a real hit, especially with older kids (you can go mighty fast and there are VR options too). Height requirements apply. Go bowling at these kid-friendly bowling alleys! It’s a fun activity for the whole family. Older kids will love the independence of having their own bowling lane, but it’s also a fun activity for little ones as young as age 3, thanks to these bowling alleys with side bumpers for kids, ramps as well as children’s bowling shoes!

Visit LEGOLAND Malaysia

The June holidays are the perfect time to hop across the border and visit Legoland Malaysia— a multicoloured lego-inspired theme park with rides and attractions, as well as a separate water park. There are more attractions and rides appropriate for younger kids at Legoland Malaysia compared to Universal Studios Singapore, which is fab for older kids. Plus, if you’re staying at LEGOLAND Hotel, know that they have new LEGO® Friends-Themed Rooms with bunk beds for kids and a master bedroom for parents themed along LEGO Friends from Heartlake City that celebrate differences and acceptances.

Take the kids to River Wonders

We are big fans of taking the kids to Singapore’s wildlife parks, and River Wonders is a fave, thanks to the Amazon River Quest boat ride and animal shows (we love the capybara!). Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your visit to River Wonders Singapore.

Check out Fort Siloso (FREE!)

Fancy stepping back in time and exploring Fort Siloso, Singapore’s only well-preserved coastal fort? Start off at the Fort Siloso Sky Walk (take the lift to the top or climb the steps if you fancy a major workout!) The Fort Siloso Sky Walk offers a stunning observation deck and bridge to get a panoramic and picturesque view of Sentosa and its greenery. Once you cross the bridge, you’ll get to Fort Siloso, which once served as part of the country’s defences. The on-site military museum contains a treasure trove of WWII memorabilia, including coastal guns, the remains of fortified military structures and tunnels, as well as an interactive video documentary, complete with wax figures of Japanese & British soldiers at the Surrender Chambers.

Get inspired to read at the library (FREE!)

If your child isn’t super into books, you could take them to explore the many amazing libraries in town and spark that interest! Punggol Regional Library has multiple floors dedicated to kids (puppets, activity stations, toys and books galore!), and `the new Central Public Library has reopened after a revamp and is a beauty to explore. There’s a new Children’s Biodiversity Library by S.E.A. Aquarium, which features biodiversity-themed learning spaces, including a Sea Jelly Zone with a video projection of sea jellies, an Intertidal Zone, and a huge floor-to-ceiling column with coral-like features!

Take a hike in nature

Rain day idea: Visit an indoor playground

Take the kiddos to one of these 40+ indoor playgrounds in Singapore when it’s too hot or rainy outside! There’s something for tiny tots all the way up to older kids and even teens! Many of these indoor playgrounds have jungle gyms, interactive play spaces, and soft play areas plus for the bigger kids there are obstacle courses, climbing walls, and massive slides!


See the Garden Rhapsody light & sound show (FREE!)

Checking out the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show at the Supertree Grove is truly magical – kids love to be out in the lush gardens at night. Each show is 15 minutes long, and you’ll be treated to stunning light displays. The theme during the June school holidays is Enchanted Woods (1 – 30 Jun 2024) where you are invited to discover an enchanted tree that will take you on an adventure filled with magical beings and mystical beasts. Get creative at an Art class

From painting to pottery, drawing to decoupage, there are plenty of different art classes for kids of varying ages to get their creative juices going. Enrol them in a one-off art class or a week art holiday camp to explore different mediums and see a real progression in their art skills!

Visit an animal farm

We love taking the kiddos to see the friendly goats at the only goat farm in Singapore, Hay Dairies Goat Farm! Visitors can see how the animal farm operates and take a tour around the premises. Try to visit between the hours of 9am to 10:30am so that the kids have an opportunity to view the goat milking session at the milking parlour. Buy some alfalfa hay to feed the goats and pet them. To top it off, you can buy fresh goat milk to take home (available in two flavours, original and chocolate), or sign up for home delivery.

Visit the Children’s Museum Singapore

Children’s Museum Singapore is the first museum dedicated to children 12 years and below. With interactive learning experiences, a garden maze and free-to-explore play pod for toddlers, there’s plenty to do for your little ones. This is a safe space for kids to run around and interact with multi-sensory educational toys to teach them about Singapore’s history. Learn more about it here.
