This is particularly an issue with larger vehicles such as MPVs where you’re higher than most children’s height. Volkswagen’s Rear View Camera helps prevent accidents by easily letting you see what’s behind you.

The Touran is a versatile 7-seater that’s ideal for any family, but even the third row offers plenty of space for adults. The “Easy Entry” system makes seats easily accessible, and they can also be folded down to form a flat load area what not in use (perfect for toting scooters, strollers, and all that other family paraphernalia!). For even more flexibility, the 3 seats in the second row can each be individually adjusted lengthwise, with a total travel of 200m, and the backrest angle is also adjustable. ISOFIX is the international standard for child safety seat attachment points, but it’s not universally available in cars in Singapore. While front airbags help prevent injuries in adults, their deployment onto a rear-facing child seat could potentially cause injuries. Therefore it’s recommended that you deactivate the front passenger airbag if there’s a rear-facing child seat in front.
