The SHF-LIA Heart Health Hub celebrates its first anniversary in April 2015 with a slew of complimentary talks and activities for the public, covering a holistic spectrum of topics such as nutrition, exercise, stress and understanding medication to inform and empower the public to take charge of their heart health.
Some highlights include “Are you Ready for Heart-smart Eating?” and “Exercise for a Healthy Heart” conducted by a dietician and physiotherapist, respectively, on 14 April.
The Heart Health Hub will also provide Cardiovascular Risk Assessment at just $4 per person on 18-19 April, examining factors such as body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, waist circumference, cholesterol & blood glucose (overnight fasting is required), along with a smokerlyser test and obstructive sleep apnoea screening. This event is important for the whole family, mama!
