The Singapore Art Museum’s SAM Late Nights programme (launched earlier this year with the Cinerama exhibition) is back this June to August, and will continue to take place on the second Friday of every month (i.e. 8 June, 13 July and 10 August, after which the museum will be closed for the installation of our next exhibition).
This round of SAM Late Nights will be tied to SAM’s latest exhibition, Imaginarium: Into the Space of Time, and features:
-SAM Late Nights are free entry for all, as admission to the Singapore Art Museum is complimentary for Singaporeans and permanent residents throughout the year, and all other visitors enjoy free entry to the museum every Friday evening from 6pm to 9pm (U.P. $6 for foreigners, $3 for students and seniors).
-extended museum opening hours (till 9pm every Friday)
-poetry readings by Singaporean poets Samuel Caleb Wee, Iain Lim, Crispin Rodrigues, Marylyn Tan and Patricia Karunungan, in response to Imaginarium artworks
-casual artwork discussions with the team behind the Imaginarium exhibition, and
-pop-up music performances
