Why do we take photos of our children? How do we make images of them that they will treasure as much as we do, for decades to come?
In this hands-on workshop, Kerry will share her approach to photographing children in an authentic and meaningful way, without forcing smiles or poses. Pick up some tips on how to make better photographs of children in different environments, then head out of the classroom to practise taking photos of your own children with on-the-spot feedback and advice from Kerry. Cameras will be provided for use during the workshop, but please bring along your own children to take full advantage of this rare opportunity for immediate real-life application in the beautiful surrounds of HortPark!
Kerry is a professional family photographer and filmmaker specialising in intimate, personalised story-telling sessions built around clients’ daily lives. She set up her own business, Red Bus Photography, in 2014 and has been lurking in clients’ homes since then. She is also the mother of two irrepressible, oftentimes impossible young boys, who have given her the confidence to say that she has photographed in the very toughest of situations – there is nothing she cannot handle.
