Sunday 18 August
5 – 7:30pm
On 18 August 2019, ASD will be hosting Jazz For Dogs (JFD) for the second time since its debut in 2017. Wind down your Sunday evening with a picnic while being surrounded by jazz and dogs at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
Enjoy the talented jazz artists that have come together from all over the island to perform during the event and meet some of ASD’s furry ambassadors, which are rescued puppies! You can also purchase a JFD picnic basket at only S$88 NETT (worth $200), filled with scrumptious goodies for both human and dog companions! Human grade home-cooked meals can also be ordered for consumption at the event.
As a non-profit organization that was established in December 2000, Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD)’s mission is to improve the welfare of stray and abandoned dogs in Singapore with a strict no-kill policy. ASD rescues, fosters and rehomes these dogs and advocates sterilisation to control the stray population, responsible pet ownership and highlighting the virtues of local dogs.
Through Jazz For Dogs, ASD aims to raise $100,000 to support its Trap-Neuter-Release-Manage efforts to reduce the stray dog population and ensure that all dogs have a home and are well-loved. ASD also aims to beat its previous record of at least 1,800 people and 300 dogs by having an attendance of 2,000 people and 400 dogs this time round.
So dog lovers, bring your fur-babies and their friends, and join the fun at Jazz For Dogs!
