Geylang Serai Hari Raya Light Up 2021

To celebrate Ramadan, this year’s Geylang Serai Hari Raya Light Up themed “Celebrating Our Kampung Spirit” takes place along Sims Avenue, Changi Road and Geylang Road. When night falls take the kiddos over to admire the forty installations twinkling over a total distance of 1.4 km. The lights at Geylang Serai will be turned on each day from 7 pm to midnight. On 12 May 2021, the eve of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the light up will be extended overnight until 6 am the next day.

Highlights of the light-up include two main arches at Sims Avenue and Changi Road featuring a mosque with golden domes, surrounded by full blooms that symbolise a new beginning and renewed bonds of friendship and kinship, and an arch featuring a crescent moon, drum, flowers and fruit, which symbolise hope and abundance.

Sadly the much-loved Hari Raya night bazaars won’t take place due to the pandemic but instead Bazaar-Kita.sg, an online bazaar has been launched.
