For one night only on 18 December, Zafferano presents an exclusive 5-course dinner showcasing the flavours of Piedmont. Savour a hearty meal curated by Head Chef Emanuele Faggi and paired with wines from the Bava vineyards in Piedmont. Mr Marcello Pedani, Founder and Importer, Brent Consulting, will be hosting the convivial evening.
Guests will begin their meal with Chef Faggi’s selection of canapés, paired with the refreshing Gavi del Comune di Gavi DOCG 2016, one of Piedmont’s flagship wines. Highlights of the dinner include traditional regional fare served during the colder months of the year. The seasonal dishes include thinly sliced cold veal tongue, bell peppers in ‘bagna cauda’, an intense and flavoursome garlic and anchovies dip that was created in Piedmont, paired with Libera Barbera d’Asti DOCG 2016, a deep red wine that is fragrant on the nose and supple on the palate. The bonèt, a famous dessert, offers a luscious treat to complete the evening with the soft textures of cocoa, coffee and amaretto biscuit pudding.
