Hosted by Brunch Bandits, the Dempsey Village Farmers Market @ Siri House invites you to sample, taste and purchase wares from over 15 local farmers, artisanal producers and craftsmen. Using urban agriculture to promote sustainability, The Farmers will be retailing their Chilli Chukka and dried teas, featuring herbs and flowers grown by them in Singapore. Pick up rustic bakes and handcrafted loaves made with ancient Japanese and European techniques from bread yard. You’ll find the perfect condiment for your bakes with Straits Preserves‘ tropical jams . Look forward to handcrafted soaps made from milk keffir, kombucha and cider from Himmel Blue, locally harvested honey from Nutrinest, homegrown greens and herbs from Savoure and spice pastes from Batu Lesung Spice Company. JAM at SIRI HOUSE will not only be serving up drinks and dishes such as ‘King Prawns with butter and crispy cereal’ and a ‘Grilled ‘Chicken Thai’ Sandwich with Green Mango Slaw’ at their own outdoor booth. Venture inside the restaurant and discover a selection of daily specials showcasing our local farmers’ produce.
Also enjoy 3 ticketed workshops. Master Soapmaking with Himmel Blue using natural oils and butters. Weird & Wonderful Edibles will introduce the history and relevance of common wild flowers and weeds in Singapore while Food Forest:Green Circle Eco Farm will share more about organic farming and conservation agricultural practices before you try your hand at making Nasi Ulam and a Cactus Rose Drink from produce off their farm.
