Unveil the secrets, stories, and symbolism behind the intricate craft of Chinese Opera makeup in this fun-filled mask colouring workshop. It will be facilitated by Nam Hwa Opera, an amateur Teochew music and drama association that aims to preserve and promote traditional art forms.
Learn to Wayang! – by Nam Hwa Opera Saturday 29 June, 4.30pm (Discovery Room, B1)
Be prepared to get inducted into the colourful world of Chinese Opera in this family-friendly crash course, where participants can try their hand at basic Chinese Opera movements and Teochew rhymes through interactive demonstrations while learning about its history.

Families will be able to take a peek and snap a photo at this immersive installation that recreates a backstage set of the traditional street opera – an important meditative space for performers to not only get into make-up and costume, but reflect on their characters as well.
