Crystal Jade
Cantonese stalwart Crystal Jade will be offering a range of CNY-themed menus and festive takeaways at their entire family of restaurants from 25 January through 22 February. For our money, the best spot for tossing yu sheng is at the original Crystal Jade Palace on Orchard Road. Order before 28 January to get a 15% earlybird discount, mama!

Eat at Seven
This mini Japanese dining hub (with four different concepts under one roof) provides a unique take on CNY with multiple Japanese-inflected takes on Yu Sheng, celebrating ingredients like sea bream, super fresh salmon and maguro, and A4 Grade Wagyu Beef!

Sustainable Yu Sheng 2014 High Res

Grand Hyatt Singapore
Grand Hyatt just might be the best hotel dining in Singers, and it doesn’t disappoint with its CNY offerings, including “Sustainable Yu Sheng” topped with Norwegian Atlantic Salmon, Maldivian Skipjack Tuna and Hokkaido Scallops at mezza9, which will also feature a dazzling set menu perfect for big group dinners. If you prefer more flexibility, mama, check out the Halal-certified CNY buffet at StraitsKitchen, available during the first two weeks of February.

Lime at Parkroyal on Pickering
If you’re planning to swing through Chinatown to take in the amazing monkey decorations, why no pop into Lime for some yummy buffet noshing? From 6-14 February, dine on everything from Char Siew to Chawanmushi with Hairy Crab Meat. And all guests will receive complimentary ‘Monkey King Tea’ featuring mixed herbs, dried mandarin, red dates and elderflower syrup.

Min Jiang at Goodwood Park Hotel
Here you have three different Yu Shengs to choose from, including traditional Crispy Salmon Skin, “Fruity Lo Hei” with bacon and truffle oil (SO delicious, mama) and Crispy Silver Bait Fish with Mock Tuna. Believe it or not, we think the desserts are even better!

Five different restaurants within Resorts World are offering Year of the Monkey festive menus, highlighted by dishes like traditional Lo Hei at Feng Shui Inn to a great value buffet at Starz Restaurant. For a bit more decadence try the 8-course set menu at Avenue Joffre.

The Halia at Singapore Botanic Gardens
Planning to go big, mama? Halia is offering a stupendous buffet package for 40+ people with everything from Cured Salmon Yu Sheng to Wok-fried Striploin Beef with Vegetables (thankfully these are available as a la carte options, too). We also love the “Fiery Monkey”, a zesty mix of soursop puree, orange juice, strawberry puree, soda water and orange segments.

Here you’ll find a sumptuous buffet spread from 8-22 February, along with a special Lunar New Year’s Eve buffet dinner and private set meal options on 7 February.
