We may not be able to sleigh down white snow-covered hills this side of the world, but with all the Christmas events, Christmas markets and festive lights, the Christmas spirit sure is going strong! So you’ve planned your Christmas eats and bought the tree, chosen the Christmas cards,  but the question of what to do with the kiddos during the Christmas season is still unanswered! It’s time to feel very jolly, mamas, ‘cos we have some ideas of where to take kids where the snow is guaranteed!

A Smurftastic Christmas in Zhongshan Mall

Seletar Mall’s A Tale Of Wishes Come True

The Amazing Toybox’s Year-end Show: Boogie Bug Music
The Amazing Toybox
is by Singapore’s only professional kids’ music duo, former preschool music and drama teachers Mark De Silva and Reuben Tupaz are bringing the joy and cheer this Christmas to The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. This year’s show is a special one as it marks 10 years of bringing joy to homes and little ones through their Boogie Bug music sessions. Now they come out of the homes and onto the big stage with dancers, mascots, and some very special guest appearances. Fun for the whole family guaranteed!

AMK Hub’s Christmas Jamboree
Could it really be snowing in the heartlands? Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay
There’s nothing quite like Christmas Wonderland (see full deets plus pictures here) to fill you with that festive holiday feeling. Christmas in Cybertron at City Square Mall
City Square Mall transforms into a starry universe this Christmas, with appearances by the Transformers! Explore this new galaxy through a tunnel of stars and the mall’s first-ever action-packed laser light and music display, amidst a wintry backdrop of falling snow. Space explorers young and old will be transported to Cybertron to witness Optimus Prime and Bumblebee come to life on stage for a 20-minute show! Meet the Autobots pass holders will also be entitled to mask-making workshops to turn into their favourite Autobots.

Merry Little Christmas Festival at Dhoby Ghaut Green
Celebrate Christmas and enjoy some indoor art play sessions, balloon twisting, face painting, ice cream and photos with the jolly old fella – Santa!

Snowfall and Carols at a Europe Inspired Christmas Market
Christmas in Queenstown returns for the second year with a beautiful vision of bringing festive cheer to the community. All are welcome to a magical experience of dazzling lights, an outdoor market with artisan goods and handcrafts, festive treats to eat, snowfall (every half hour!) and caroling at the Church of The Good Shepherd.
Christmas Carols: by the popular Singapore Pocket Opera Theatre, together with a 30-member choir and a string ensemble plus a night of music by bagpipe, harmonica, accordion and ukulele performers. Look out for the Children’s Carnival featuring a bouncy castle, train rides and exciting game stores.

FREE Suzie & the Polar Bears Live at HarbourFront Centre
On Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays catch free shows of Suzie & the Polar Bears Live at the L1 North Atrium. 
The bears Lulu, Lula and Lilo awake on Christmas morning but alas, no presents from Santa Claus! Are the bears on Santa’s Naughty list? Will the bears receive any gifts from Santa? You’ll have to watch the show to find out! Meet and greet sessions are available 10 minutes after the show and roving activities around the mall at 3pm – 3.30pm on show dates.

Trehaus, our fave co-working space on Orchard Road is putting on their annual Christmas fun! Orchard Road: Christmas on A Great Street
Everyone knows the biggest Christmas party is happening on Orchard Road! The lights stretching 2.88km from Tanglin Mall shopping centre to Plaza Singapura have already gone up (they have been since late-October!) and will be lit up every day from 3pm until New Year’s Day! Be sure to pop by the first ever Christmas Village at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, which will feature a Great Carousel, lots of shopping, carnival rides, performances and photo ops with Santa. You also wouldn’t want to miss the Christmas Eve Countdown Concert featuring a line-up of local bands performing Christmas classics and all-time favourite hits, ending off with a pyrotechnics show at midnight!

ION Sky’s New Animation Show
Despite the telling name of ‘Orchard Road’, not many will know that the land was previously covered with nutmeg plantations and orchards! A new immersive experience awaits at the 56th storey of ION mall, taking you back in time to trace the transformation of Singapore and Orchard Road as the plantations and orchard of yesteryears made way for roads, houses and shopping malls. The animation begins the moment you step into the lift at Level 4, and follows you all the way through to Level 56 with a virtual ‘leaf-covered’ path. An interesting, visual and fun way for both adults and kids to learn about the history of Singapore and Orchard Road!
When: The multimedia shows are screened every 45 minutes with seven daily shows to choose from, between 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 7:45pm (last admission at 7:45pm)

Prudential Marina Bay Carnival 
Expect the city’s business centre to be transformed into one giant wonderland  25,000 square metres of thrill rides and carnival games! Occupying The Promontory and Bayfront Event Space, there will be 40 rides and games – many of which have been brought into Singapore from various European countries, including the United Kingdom and Germany. Look out for The Star Flyer, the tower ride giving you uninhibited 360˚ views of the Singapore skyline from a 35-metres height as you “fly” above the clouds and The Booster Maxx,  55 metres above ground rotating at a speed that can reach 96km/hour under eight seconds. For the littler ones, the Log Flume with its gentle turns before heading down to a big splash and the Apple Coaster where kids can buckle up and get their first orientation to a rollercoaster ride.

Robocar-Poli Shows at Plaza Singapura
This school holidays, embark on an odyssey with Poli, Roy, Amber and Helli from the popular South Korean animated cartoon, Robocar Poli, with first ever thematic craft workshops and a tea party session! Expect lots of singing and dancing, featuring classic Christmas songs in celebration of the festive season. Plus make your own Robocar Poli badges at the craft workshops. Exclusive Robocar Poli premiums are also up for grabs for the first 4,000 people, with a min spend of $240.

The Local People Christmas Art Market At South Beach Avenue
The Local People will be transforming South Beach Avenue into a huge one-stop Christmas Party, with Santa’s Workshop @ the South Pole! Expect art (there’s an art wall backdrop to colour in), design, food and live music inside plus festive tents where Singapore-made and locally-designed products will be up for grabs. Sing along with Christmas carollers on 17 December while at 7 pm daily a public screening of Lulu the Movie, Michelle Chong’s Best Director Win at the Canada International Film Festival 2017, will take place. For kids: a face-painting artist, a photo booth, fundraising carnival games by The Social Co., and LED Balloon giveaways plus Christmas workshops daily from 11 am to 10 pm.

Santa Run for Wishes 2017 by Make A Wish Foundation
Run for a good cause, mama! The fourth edition of the Santa Run for Wishes by Make A Wish Foundation is gearing up for another phenomenal day of festivities. Runners can look forward to new, spectacular merchandise and activities this year in collaboration with the Marina Bay Countdown 2018 party to usher in the jolly season. Look forward to the 2km trail, 5km run and carnival! All registration and donation proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish Foundation (Singapore) to help grant wishes of children with life-threatening conditions.

The SCSM 2017 Kids Dash is back this Christmas season, happening under the Christmas lights at Orchard Road! Urban Ventures Street Party X House of Noise 2017
