Sassy Scoop: You’re invited to the Open House for new eco-friendly preschool, The Garden House

We’ve long been fans of getting our little ones outdoors to play and explore (and even get their hands dirty!) so when we heard about new eco-friendly nursery school, The Garden House Preschool we were a wee bit excited!

Based on the premise that children should learn from the environment, the heart and soul of this preschool is their garden. Kids get to dig in the dirt, planting and harvesting fruit and vegetables every day; learning about healthy eating from the ground up… literally. All that fresh produce is then turned into healthy, wholesome and tasty meals in the school kitchen – they only serve organic snacks and lunches here kiddos!

Garden House’s child-initiated, emergent curriculum provides opportunities for little ones to learn through hands-on creative and engaging outdoor activities. Experienced teachers give munchkins the space they need to explore their surroundings, letting them learn at their own pace and in their own style.

Welcoming children from 18 months to 5 years of age, The Garden House plans to keep class sizes deliberately small with a dedicated 1-to-4 teacher to student ratio in their half or full day programmes. Minis will also benefit from the diverse mix of specialist international educators and that’s in addition to daily Mandarin instruction.

With their special focus on healthy eating, environmental awareness and green living, The Garden House in Bukit Batok provides a fun school environment for little ones to play, learn and explore in the great outdoors!
