If you (or the kids) are looking to get down and dirty with classic burgers, buffalo wings, chili cheese fries and some kickass cocktails, look no further than MEATliquor, mama!

Calling all carnivores! Been to MEATliquor SIN lately, mama? The Sassy team recently had a sinfully yummy lunch there and just had to share all the deliciously messy details!

MEATliquor restaurant Interior

With graffiti-covered walls and tables, neon lights over the bar, and a hard rock soundtrack, this American-dive-bar-style British import on Duxton Road makes for a raucous night out, either with the kids or your party hearty friends. It’s got a cool, anything-goes vibe that can be hard to find in Singapore, and it doesn’t hurt that both the food and drinks are topnotch (the restaurant’s name says it all, really). We especially dig the 8-page cocktail menu that includes everything from long & short cocktails, to share drinks, to spiked ice cream floats.

Among the biggest hits at our nosh session were the Monkey Fingers (battered fillets of chicken slathered in house-made hot pepper sauce – like buffalo wings taken to the next level), the Dead Hippie Burger (mustard-fried beef patties, secret sauces, lettuce, cheese, pickles and minced white onions) and the totally bonkers Green Chili Cheeseburger (beef patty, cheese, spicy chili butter, red onions, pickles, lettuce, mustard and ketchup).

While burgers are definitely the point of emphasis (seafood lovers should go for the Ginger Chili Fish Burger with beer-battered local sea bass), we were pleasantly (even shockingly) surprised by the scrumptious Greek Salad, replete with lots of fresh, crunchy veggies and totally succulent olives. You can also go the light and healthy route with the Haloumi and Mushroom Burger, which will really just enable you to splurge ever so slightly on the sinful sides (fried pickles and chili cheese fries ranked among our faves).

We particularly love MEATliquor’s set menus and lunch deals. It’s pretty sweet that you can score a gourmet burger, fries or salad, and a soft drink for just 15 bucks at lunchtime! The Kids’ Menu is also pretty rocking; not only do little ones get their own burger, fries and drink for $12they can even colour in the menu.

MEATliquor has also recently introduced a banging brunch menu, though you should also look out for their rad ‘Eats, Beats & Treats’ nights that come with free-flow burgers and booze and outstanding DJ’d music.

So the next time you want to indulge a bit at lunch (we figured we’d earned it after a hardcore session at nearby WeBarre), or take the kiddos out for a fun and fuss-free dinner, or simply party like a rockstar, hit up MEATliquor, mama!
