We are BIG brunch fans here at Sassy Mama and have a feeling you are, too: our original round-up of The Best Family-Friendly Brunches in Singapore continues to be among our most popular articles, even two years on! But we all know how quickly restaurants open and close here, so there are tons of new brunch spots we want to keep you posted on, mama. Consider this a round-up of “new classics”, all ideal spots to bring the kids for brunch in Singapore (and the food tastes good, too!).

shangri-la brunch

Barnacles by the Sea’s “Sunday Garden Party” at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa
Not all buffets are created equal; this just might be Singapore kids’ favourite brunch on the island. Not only is there a dedicated kids’ dining area to go along with a sumptuous seafood spread for the adults, but all diners enjoy complimentary access to the resort’s natural water swimming pool, children’s slides and splash pad, along with free parking on a first come, first served basis. And did we mention that each child under 12 dines free with a paying adult? Bonus!

Barnacles by the Sea, Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, Singapore 098970, Tel: (+65) 6371 1966, www.shangri-la.com/singapore

Anywhere with a massive shaded outdoor play space for energetic littlies gets an ‘A’ in our book, with bonus points for lovely water views! This casual open-air Belgian spot in East Coast Park serves waffles (of course!) along with yummy savoury options like air-dried ham, eggs Florentine and a sausage platter. They only serve brunch from 10am-12 at the Big Splash location, so plan accordingly mama!

Coastes

Coastes
There’s a limited breakfast menu available daily from 9am-3pm, but the biggest selling point here is the beachside Sentosa location. Sip on a cheeky margarita and feel the sand between your toes while you watch the kiddos splash in the calm, shallow water. Even dogs are welcome at this awesome open-air spot.

Cornerstone
Another dog-friendly café, Cornerstone enjoys a gorgeously lush setting in the middle of Bishan Park (steps from its two giant dog runs). There isn’t much in the way of breakfast/brunch food on offer, but the relaxed, casual New American diner serves kid-friendly staples like burgers, pasta and chicken nuggets, with an extensive menu for mamas and papas offering everything from salads to 10 levels of spicy chicken wings!

Cornerstone, Bishan Park, 1380 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1, Singapore 569930, Tel: (+65) 6554 7230, www.cornerstone.com.sg

brunch spots_jamie's italian

Jamie’s Italian at Vivo City
We’re huge fans of this chill space along the harbourfront at Vivo City. The food’s delicious and made from healthy, fresh ingredients. The staff is friendly and super kind to kids (little ones even get colouring crayons and magic viewfinders to play with upon arrival). And there’s a nice outdoor area where restless kiddos can run around and watch the boats, while afterwards they can recharge with a babycino or soft-boiled eggs with adorable toast soldiers.

Jamie’s Italian, 1 Harbourfront Walk, #1-165-167 VivoCity, Singapore 098585, Tel: (+65) 6733 5500. Click here for full details on all locations.

Super Loco
This Robertson Quay spot wins on so many levels: a colourful, breezy location ideal for scooting; crazy delicious food (everything from avocado toast and quesadillas to pancakes, breakfast burritos and huevos rancheros); and fun cocktails (even kids like receiving a drink with an umbrella!). There’s nowhere else quite like it in Singapore.

White RabbitWhite Rabbit
If kiddos aren’t yet familiar with Alice and Wonderland, this whimsical spot on Dempsey Hill is a fantastic introduction. They’ll be fascinated by the stained-glass windows, and they’ll love running around in the lovely back garden (there’s even a former cable car from Sentosa to explore). The delicious food will equally please parents and munchkins; how many other kids’ menus have you seen featuring Waygyu burgers?
